IRVING – Irving-based 7‑Eleven is pledging a $150,000 donation to the American Red Cross for Hurricane Irma disaster relief efforts.
With more 800 stores in Florida, 7-Eleven also is giving back to the community it serves by donating 4,800 cases of 7-Select purified water for free distribution at three Florida locations tomorrow. The locations are in Orlando at 8320 Narcoosee Road, Port Orange at 1632 Taylor Road, and Oldsmar at 3855 Tampa Road.
In addition, 7-Eleven is encouraging customers to support the American Red Cross Hurricane Irma relief efforts. Customers may add $1 to each in-store purchase at participating stores nationwide or donate online https://www.7-eleven.com/hurricane-relief.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone who has been or who may soon be affected by Hurricane Irma, including our 7-Eleven employees and customers,” stated Chris Tanco, chief operating officer,” in a press release.
7-Eleven provided similar support in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, which devastated parts of Texas and Louisiana last week, donating $150,000 to the American Red Cross, water, food and supplies to shelters and more than 1,200 care packages to employees impacted by the storm.
