The ancient art of holistic wellness marries state-of-the-art technology this spring when Fort Worth’s Center for the Healing Arts opens the first Life Vessel health care center in the southwest United States. As one of only 17 treatment providers throughout the country, the center’s 1,000 square-foot addition includes two of the patented devices, available by appointment only.
The public is welcome to attend an open house to learn more about the new Life Vessel of Fort Worth. The open house is 2-6 p.m. Sunday, May 14, at 312 W. Leuda St.
Developed in 1999, Life Vessel is an FDA cleared (October 2007), Class II medical device with five U.S. patents. It’s a horizontal structure in which an individual reclines for a period of one hour, while therapeutic modalities associated with frequency, vibration, sound, color and light relax and rebalance the body.
“Studies show that 85 percent of bodily dysfunction can be associated with stress, and if not effectively dealt with, can seriously compromise an individual’s health,” stated Kim Perrone, acupuncturist, herbal therapist and founder of Center for the Healing Arts, in a press release.
The Life Vessel utilizes an infrared light source – in addition to a combination of vibration, sound and visible light – in a non-invasive series of treatments. The infrared light allows for an increase in both blood circulation and oxygen levels in the cells, while the simultaneous combination of vibration, sound and light facilitates the ultimate experience in relaxation therapy. Relaxation therapy provides benefits to the body that include higher energy levels, improved sleep, stronger cognitive abilities, an enhanced immune system and the ability for an individual to de-stress.
