DENTON – The 17th North Texas Book Festival is set for 10 a.m to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 15, at Patterson-Appleton Arts Center in Denton. More than 60 authors will sell and sign their books for fans.
Free admission. There also will be an Easter egg hunt with a twist for the children, and pictures with the Easter Bunny will be available.
The featured author is Nancy Churnin, who wrote the children’s book “The William Hoy Story: How a Deaf Baseball Player Changed the Game.” She is the theater critic for The Dallas Morning News.
Churnin also will speak at NTBF’s awards breakfast from 7-9:30 a.m. before the festival. Admission to the breakfast is $10 for each adult and $5 for each child under age 10.
