CARROLLTON – Lisa Bills and Leslie O’Hare present the launch of Uppermost Entertainment’s 2015-2016 production season with the humorous one-man show “I’m Always On My Mind.”
The play is about 40-year-old narcissist Brock Besson, who seemingly has it all – he’s charming, charismatic, successful and handsome. He’s a narcissist; he just hasn’t figured that out yet. It doesn’t matter whose toes he steps on as long he gets what he wants when he wants it.
The show stars Plano’s Ken Orman and is directed by television and Broadway actress Linda Leonard. “I’m Always On My Mind” opened July 24 and runs until Aug. 22 at Theatre 166, 2425 W. Parker Road, in Carrollton, according to a press release. Tickets are on sale via Eventbrite here.
“I’m Always On My Mind,” was written by Scott Rolfe Josephson. The audience is thrust into the self-absorbed world of Brock Besson, a magna cum laude graduate of Harvard who was president of his fraternity and has since become an A-list, single businessman.
Orman moved to Texas in 1997 to pursue a career in banking. He has been acting since 2007, starring in productions at Dallas Contemporary Theatre, WaterTower Theatre/
Out of the Loop Festival, Theatre 3, Denton Community Theatre, Texas Family Musicals and Studio B Performing Arts Theatre, among others. He’s produced, written, directed and performed sketch comedy, plus Orman has been featured on television commercials as well as TNT’s “Dallas” reboot series.
Leonard arrives at Uppermost Entertainment with more than 35 years of directing and acting in theatre, film and television. She’s a veteran of New York City’s on- and off- Broadway creative scene, as well as major markets such as Los Angeles and Chicago.
Leonard also guides “Living With Rejection,” an emotional roller coaster production based on O’Hare’s personal life journey that premieres in 2016. “Living With Rejection” is an absorbing drama about a multi-layered, dysfunctional relationship between mother and daughter.
