FORT WORTH—The Doc McStuffins multi-city tour will bring Disney Junior’s popular animated series “Doc McStuffins” to Fort Worth Museum of Science and History from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6. Traveling in a custom, 27-foot Airstream trailer modeled after Doc’s playhouse clinic, the tour will focus on health and nutrition for young children and their families.
The event, offered at no charge, features an area for kids to perform a check-up on their own toys and offers other activities and age-appropriate health and wellness lessons, including nutrition and physical development.
Doctors from Fort Worth-based Artemis Medical Society, an organization of more than 2,900 women physicians of color from around the world, also will be there to meet the children and the parents. Dr. Myiesha Taylor, an Artemis founder and an emergency medicine specialist on staff at Texas Regional Medical Center at Sunnyvale, will be there; Taylor appeared in televised shorts with Doc earlier this year.
